SER has a small fund for student travel grants that will allow us to provide awards to a limited number of SER student members in order to help facilitate their attendance at the conference.
To be eligible, you must be a full-time graduate or undergraduate students currently enrolled in a college or university program. You must also be a current member in good standing of SER. Preference will be given to students from developing countries, however we welcome students from other countries as well and will consider all applicants based on their own merits. Preference will also be given to students who have submitted an abstract for an oral or poster presentation at the conference.
Because funding is limited and because our overarching goal is to enable the participation of students who would not otherwise be able to attend, we ask that you not apply for funding under this program if you can find support through other sources.
The SER2017 Organizing Committee is pleased to inform the list of selected students to receive a student grant.
The selected students above are receiving a communication with the instructions and information needed by the organizing committee.
To students that apply for the student grant and weren´t selected, you will also receive a communication on your e-mail. We would like to thank you very much for your application, but we had an overwhelming number of well-qualified applicants and a very limited budget for grants, and this necessitated some difficult decisions during the selection process.
We hope you will still be able to attend the conference, and we invite you to proceed in registering as soon as possible.
Because this notification is coming to you right as the Early Registration period closes and you may need some time to consider your plans in light of this news, we will honor the Early Registration rates until Sunday, June 4th in your case, even in the case you will be presenting a paper and were requested to register until May 31th.
The complete instructions will be in the communication.
