The 7th SER World Conference on Ecological Restoration is expected to draw between 1200 and 1500 attendees, and will include more than 100 concurrent sessions over 4 days.

In order to keep an event of this size and complexity running smoothly, SER2017 will rely heavily on a dedicated team of volunteers to help monitor sessions, greet attendees, distribute materials, and staff social events, among other duties.

SER2017 will offer prospective attendees the opportunity to volunteer at the conference in exchange for a discounted or complimentary conference registration, depending on their time commitment. During times when volunteers are not scheduled to work, they will have full access to scientific sessions and other conference activities not requiring a special registration fee. Volunteers will be selected through an open application process that will be announced on our website soon. SER2017 will give preference to student applicants from developing countries in the interest of providing opportunities for those with limited resources to participate in the conference and gain valuable professional experience. Volunteers are expected to speak and to communicate reasonably well in at least two out of the three Conference Languages (English/ Portuguese/Spanish).
